Petition to build a sustainable Christchurch - In just over three weeks' time the petition will be delivered to Christchurch City Council, to Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority and to NZ Government's Earthquake Recovery Minister.  With this in mind I am writing to ask for your help.  I'm hoping that we can give this petition one final push in the next three weeks, and get it ‘out there' to the rest of Christchurch, the rest of New Zealand and to more of our friends overseas. It's my sense that many, many more people around NZ and beyond share our passion and determination to see a beautiful, sustainable Christchurch rise from the rubble and would sign the petition if they knew about it.  So let's tell them! Please, if you haven't done so yet (or even if you have!) forward the petition on to as many people as you can, and ask them to forward it on to others. Let them know we have three weeks left to gather in one place the voice of all those who wish to see environmental sustainability put firmly at the heart of the rebuild plans for Christchurch.  We've been through so much here in Canterbury. But we have also experienced first hand the strength of our communities. Let's gather that strength and stand together to make our voices heard. Let's not miss this unique opportunity to influence the Christchurch of the future.  Go to http://www.change.org/petitions/tell-new-zealands-government-christchurch-rebuild-must-lead-the-world-in-sustainability-2 to sign the petition.

There will also be an opportunity to liaise with a Business Recovery Co-ordinator from Recover Canterbury.  For more information about this event please email heidig@cecc.org.nz .
